Rovellats Masia Segle Gran Reserva 2016

Bottle of Rovellats Masia Segle Gran Reserva 2016.

Rovellats Masia Segle Gran Reserva 2016
11.7% alcohol, cork, Penedes/Spain.

Grown organically – as all the wines in the Penedés region now are – and aged on lees for 102 months. Made using 65% Xarel·lo, 25% Macabeu, 5% Parellada and 5% Chardonnay grapes.

Difference lives here. Smoke, tobacco, brine, mezcal notes and dried fruits. Textural in a fine, elegant way and yet with character aplenty. You get aged complexity in a salty, refreshing form here. This is very dry and very good. 94 points.
