Campbell Mattinson has been a photo-journalist since 1987 and a leading wine critic since 2000. He is the former chief editor of Halliday Wine Companion, the former editor of Halliday Magazine, and the former editor of Australian Sommelier Magazine. He is the current editor of The Winefront website, which he founded in 2002. He is the only Australian wine journalist to have won the Australian Wine Communicator of the Year Award more than once. He also won the prestigious Chairman’s Award at the Louis Roederer International Wine Media Awards in London for his book The Wine Hunter.
