Image licensing

The photographs on this site, and on mattinson.com.au, are my own work unless credited otherwise. They are available to licence for editorial and commercial use. The cannot be used without permission.

If you've arrived here from a Google Images "Licensable" badge, this is the page it points to.

What's available

Most of what I shoot falls into a few areas: wine – vineyards, cellars, bottles and the people behind them; portraits; landscapes and travel; and longer photo essays. If you've seen an image on one of my sites, it can almost certainly be licensed. If you're after something I haven't published, ask – the archive runs well beyond what's online.

How it works

Email me with the image (a link or a description is fine), where it will be used, for how long, and in what territory. I'll come back with a rate. Pricing depends on use: a single editorial placement costs less than a campaign or packaging, and I'd rather quote properly.

Licences are non-exclusive unless we agree otherwise. Exclusive and buy-out arrangements are possible.

Terms in brief

  • A licence covers the use we agree in writing and nothing more. Additional uses need a further licence.

  • Images may not be resold, sublicensed or passed to third parties.

  • No cropping into a different composition, compositing or alteration beyond reasonable sizing and colour correction without approval.

  • Images may not be used to train, fine-tune or otherwise feed machine-learning or generative-AI systems.

  • Credit as "Photo: Campbell Mattinson”.

  • Copyright stays with me in all cases.

Commissions

I also take on commissioned work, mainly in wine and portraiture. The same email address is the place to start.
