$53, 12.5% alcohol, screwcap, Adelaide Hills.

Mike Bennie on The Winefront concluded that this wine is “very pinot”. It’s also very good. It’s light – it’s no surprise, when you check, that it’s only 12.5% alcohol – but the web of tannin, the spread through the finish, and the subtle meaty tones are pleasurable plus, especially as they’re supported by juicy cranberry, bright red cherry and boysenberry flavours. Mike’s right; you have to love your pinot to love this. It’s a sweet-sour wine with flashes of twigs and mescal-like herbs. For me, it’s entirely lovely. 93 points.
