Aramis The Heir Syrah 2017

Mattinson review of Aramis Syrah 2017.

Aramis The Heir Syrah 2017
$80, 14.5%, DIAM cork, McLaren Vale.

This has matured very nicely. It has retained its silk – it’s creamy smooth on the palate – but it has mellowed and become more complex, and it offers excellent drinking right now. Indeed it’s the kind of wine that proves the benefit of ageing (quality) red wine. This now tastes of licorce red and black, earth, leather, mint and caramel. You open the bottle and it spreads out before you, ready to go and openly beautiful. 93 points.
