Lino Ramble Sly Fox Fortified Arinto

Mattinson review of Lino Ramble Sly Fox Fortified Arinto.

Lino Ramble Sly Fox Fortified Arinto
$40 500ml, 18.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale South Australia.

The Arinto grape. This saw some time on (grape) skins, and saw some time in wood, and saw (obviously) some fortification with spirit. It’s an amber-orange in the glass, it tastes of orange oil and toffee apples, caramelised pears and citrus, with a gentle burnt character adding to the overall personality. It’s oddball and familiar at once; a good way to be. It tastes beautiful on ice. 91/100 and worth buying.
