Overeem – Pedro Ximénez Cask Matured is a Tasmanian cult name having a banner year. Overeem's 20th Anniversary Pedro Ximénez release didn't just win Best Australian Small Batch Single Malt at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards – it took Gold and the category outright, then landed in the global top five for World's Best whisky of the year. This achievement wasn't alone: Overeem drew ten awards from the seven whiskies it entered in 2026, the kind of result that speaks to a whole range rather than a lucky bottle. Founded by Casey Overeem in 2005 – with early help from Lark down the road – it has spent two decades as one of Tasmania's most quietly revered single malts, its core range unusually approachable for something so collected.
