In May 2020 I travelled to James Halliday’s house at Coldstream Hills on a wet, cold day. James was selling his cellar. This was the day that the most prized and beloved wines in his collection – the wines of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – were being catalogued, boxed up, and taken away.
