Allegiance Wines The Artisan Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
$40, 14.0% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

There’s a mass of warm-hearted flavour here and it’s presented in well-balanced form. This is a good, solid, Coonawarra cabernet. It tastes of blackcurrant, bay leaves, assorted roasted spices and cedar, with whispers of tobacco in the mix as well. There’s also a toffeed creaminess to the palate, which makes the wine feel both warm and smooth. Satisfying is the word. 92 points.
