$35, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

A Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon that is drinking well now but that will cellar well for the next five or more years? This is a good candidate. It tastes of boysenberry, redcurrant, bay leaves and tobacco, and while it has a decent run of stringy tannin it feels, generally, harmonious and well-integrated, with no bumps or causes for concern. It’s a good red. Satisfying. 90 points.
