Neldner Road Shiraz 2021

Neldner Road Shiraz 2021
$100, 14.5% alcohol, cork, Barossa Valley.

The volume of fruit here is excellent, as is the smoothness of the texture, as is the fine grain of the tannin. Every nuance here has been beautifully ordered, delivered and arranged. It tastes of rich plum, sweet blackberry, hay, cedarwood and choc-orange, the latter infused deliciously throughout. This wine is as substantial as it is delicious. 94 points.

Footnote: I’ve also tasted the Neldner Road Shiraz 2022. I scored it at 93 points but it’s in the same quality vicinity as above. Big fruit, integrated smoky oak, firm tannin.
