Briar Ridge Cabernet Franc 2024

Mattinson review of Briar Ridge Cabernet Franc 2024.

Briar Ridge Cabernet Franc 2024
$40, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Wrattonbully.

If you like a wine that’s high on character with a smidgen of difference thrown in, then you will love this wine. It’s a beauty. It smells/tastes of grass, blackcurrant, bay leaves, violets, saltbush and peppermint gum trees, and it has an excellent rumble of tannin through the finish, the latter adding pucker, chew, shape and presence. This wine tastes delicious, has excellent depth, and feels serious. 93 points.
