This is a meaty shiraz with woodsmoke and peppermint characters running through raspberry, plum and black cherry. It feels both bright and lively – and juicy – but there’s good depth to the fruit, and enough substance to keep everyone happy. As this wine breathes a keen floral aroma starts to rise from the glass, adding a prettiness to what is already an engaging show. 90 points.
