Hesketh Small Batch Chardonnay 2024

Review of Hesketh Small Batch Chardonnay 2024.

Hesketh Small Batch Chardonnay 2024
$32, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Adelaide Hills.

The flavour strikes out at you, in a good way. There’s nothing wimpy about this chardonnay and yet, at the same time, it still feels juicy and fresh. It tastes of apple and pineapple, peach and pear, and while there’s a slip of cedarwood oak it’s applied in modest proportions. All the ducks are in a row here. This wine offers punchy flavour, good freshness and mouthfeel, and a satisfying finish. 92 points.
