Curtis Family Battle of Battonage Chardonnay 2025
$95, 12.5% alcohol, DIAM cork, Adelaide Hills.

This is juicy and rich, textural and emphatic. It tastes of peach, grapefruit, woodsmoke and something umami-like, while cedar, cashew and banana-like characters add extra highlights. This wine is refined and neat but it’s not a shrinking violet; it lays down flavour (and texture) in no uncertain terms. It’s a luxurious chardonnay. It’s hedonistic. And it’s very good.
