Black & Ginger The Gypsy Vermentino 2024

Mattinson review of Black & Ginger The Gypsy Vermentino 2024.

Black & Ginger The Gypsy Vermentino 2024
$35, 13.4% alcohol, screwcap, Western Victoria.

This wine is fundamentally delicious. It’s a dry white wine but the fruit flavours have both punch and an air of the exotic. Lime, orange, slate and nashi pears characters come with a general tonic-like edge. It’s not a complicated wine but it still manages to offer that something extra. There’s texture here too which never hurts. This is a lovely wine. 94 points.
