Vinarium Chardonnay 2023

Vinarium Chardonnay 2023
$16, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Victoria.

This wine isn’t massively buttery but it offers richness (and value) in spades.

Aldi knows how to find ‘em. This Vinarium Chardonnay is made by the noted Fowles winery and is killer value at $16. The thing is, it’s flavoursome. It tastes of pears and peaches with spice and butter notes tossed through, and while it delivers plenty it remains fresh and, indeed, crisp. There’s a slip of texture – it’s like grape skins – which is always good but this kind of texture works especially well with chardonnay. This is (very) good buying at $16.
