Chapel Hill Gorge Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
$70, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is a dusty cabernet with blackcurrant, loganberry, spearmint and dark chocolate characters running all the way through to peppercorn and licorice. It has buoyancy, freshness and polish – all excellent traits – but ultimately it’s a rich and satisfying red with the balance to drink well now and the structure to age positively over the medium to long term. In fact everything about this wine is good. 93+ points.
