This is a Claret-lovers cabernet in that it’s medium in weight at most, has good juiciness and flow, has clear herbal accents and feels structured but not overdone through the finish. You can certainly enjoy this now but an extra few years in the cellar would do it the world of good too. It tastes of boysenberry, redcurrant, earth, bay leaves and tobacco, and there’s a lovely sense of composure throughout. 92 points.
