Jack Estate Mythology Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
$55, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

Good cabernet has the ability to age with a remarkable grace, and this wine is a good cabernet. The flavours here, and the flow, and the tension/tannin though the finish are all in excellent shape. It tastes of boysenberries, earth, tobacco, peppermint and redcurrant, with rusty, leathery notes entwined within. It’s fully mature, and is drinking beautifully. 93 points.
