Jack Estate Mythology Shiraz 2012
$55, 14% alcohol, cork, Coonawarra.

This wine is in excellent condition for a wine of its age. It’s fully mature with flavours of leather, red cherry, soy sauce, mint and orange peel, but it’s the way these flavours interact with the firm-ish tannin that really impresses. This wine is now mostly about secondary rather than primary fruit flavours, as you’d expect, but it’s still drinking very well. 91 points.
