Jack Estate Mythology Shiraz 2014
$55, 15% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

Oak and fruit have melted into one another over the years and now present as one harmonious whole. This red wine is now at its drinking prime. It tastes of tobacco, boysenberry, kirsch and redcurrant, although choc-mint and vanilla-cream flavours – infused with leather – add a general impression of polish. There’s plenty of secondary character here but so too is there ample juicy fruit. 92 points.
