$55, 15% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

Sweet fruit flavour runs through complex secondary characters. This is in excellent shape for a wine of its age. It tastes of redcurrant, rust, red jelly and roasted herbs, with choc-mint and leather characters layered over the top. Tannin adds shape to the wine, and a pleasing dryness to the finish. Roast beef – or certainly something from the oven – and a bottle of this and it would be happy days. 91 points.
