Open this wine and a ball of dark fruit flavour rolls towards you. It shows signs of maturity but it also still has plenty of oomph. It tastes of black cherries, roasted plums, toast, peppercorns and saltbush, with leathery notes about the edges. It all works pretty well. 89-90 points.
