The bottle image here says Gamay Noir but the wine is simply labelled as Gamay. This wine won a major trophy at the 2026 National Wine Show and has enjoyed (wine) show success in general. Given that the asking price is $25, that’s a remarkable feat.

There’s good colour to this wine, lots of attractive perfume, a friskiness to the palate but plenty of life and lift there too. It’s lighter in flavour than it is in colour but everything works nicely here: the cranberry-cherry notes, the floral dynamics, the spice notes and the edge of orange-and-cherry-infused tonic water. Grapey tannin seals the deals: this is good drinking. 91 points.
