$48, 14% alcohol, screwcap, Wrattonbully.

This wine is more about red berries than black, which is partly why it feels so accessible. It’s not heavy or overdone, but it is ripe and it does bring enjoyable fruit flavour. Its real secret though is its balance; oak, fruit and tannin are all in alignment here. It’s a good wine to sit and spend an evening with; it feels quality, but it’s not too taxing. 92 points.
