Gundog Estate Indomitus Rutilus 2024
$50, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Hilltops.

This is a blend of Shiraz (57%), Tempranillo (29%) and Grenache from the Hilltops region of NSW.

Gundog Estate has hit it out of the park with its Indomitus range this year. This is a truly beautiful red wine; each of its component parts feels synergised with the other. It’s medium in weight, fruity through its core, savoury both around the edges and through the finish, and then exceptionally well structured, and sustained, as it closes. This wine could hardly be more impressive. It’s earthen, cherried, light on its feet and wonderfully insistent. It’s a “Must Buy” proposition. 95 points.
