Head Wines The Brunette Shiraz 2024
AU$75, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

What we have here is a gorgeous Barossa Shiraz. It’s thick with flavour, svelte of texture, refined, neat and lengthy. It tastes of blackberry and licorice, olives, (salted) chocolate mud cake, smoke-dried herbs and hay, though orange peel and even dried apricot characters are apparent if you squint really hard. It’s class from start to finish; and highly seductive too.
