Henschke Johann’s Garden 2024
$65, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

Johann’s Garden 2024 is a blend of grenache (60%) and mataro (40%), all grown in the Barossa Valley.

Talk about a beautiful wine to drink. This is light and structured and soft and tense all at once, with flower, fruit and fragrant herb notes all contributing positively. It’s a delight. Raspberry, tonic water, red licorice, clove and woodsy herb notes swing confidently throughout. It’s light- to medium-weight and it is, simply, beautiful. 94 points.

Henschke is a Mattinson 10-Star winery.
