Hirsch Hill Reserve Pinot Noir 2023

Mattinson review of Hirsch Hill Reserve Pinot Noir 2023.

Hirsch Hill Reserve Pinot Noir 2023
$52, 13.3% alcohol, screwcap, Yarra Valley.

This is a firm Pinot Noir with a good deal of complexity tucked up its sleeve. It tastes of undergrowth and stewed red cherries, sweet spices and blueberries, with tobacco-like leaf notes coming forward as it breathes in the glass. Tannin spreads like a fine-grained web through the finish, and the linger of flavour is satisfying and more. We’re in good Pinot Noir territory here. 92 points.
