Hirsch Hill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Mattinson review of Hirsch Hill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021.

Hirsch Hill Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
$52, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Yarra Valley.

When Yarra Valley cabernet is good it’s a thing of absolute beauty and this cabernet from Hirsch Hill is good. It tastes of blackcurrant, black olives, bay leaves and smoked cedar but it’s the velvety glide of it, the medium-bodied elegance and the way it swings so confidently and with such ease through the finish that really marks its quality. This wine is excellent now but it will cellar beautifully too. 94+ points.
