McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon 2016

Bottle of McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon 2016.

McGuigan Bin 9000 Semillon 2016
$40, 11% alcohol, screwcap, Hunter Valley.

An excellent wine, at perfect maturity, as a classic region-variety combination, for $40. That’s the proposition. This wine is textured and flavoured and elongated, its toast, lemon, honey, and preserved citrus characters infused lightly with aromatic herbs. In other words, it’s quite perfect. It has intensity in all the right areas, and charm as an overlay. It’s excellent from every angle. 94 points.
