Koomilya DC Block Shiraz 2021
$130, 14% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

This is a staggeringly good wine. It’s so powerful, so pretty, has such presence and then has such persistence. Flowers, berries, sweet spices, potpourri. I could go on. It delivers a world of scent, a world of flavour, throws ropes of tannin around the whole show and in the end, feels like it’s a carnival of its own creation. This is a wonderful McLaren Vale Shiraz. It goes straight into wow territory and then keeps going.

97 points.
