$86, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Margaret River.

The aromatics here are pitch-perfect, in that they are lively, gently leathery, emboldened by blackcurrant and smattered with bay leaf notes. The palate is faithful to this first impression, adding boysenberry and cedarwood to the fray, and long lines of leafy tannin. This is a five-year-old Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon in a very good place; it has just started to mellow, but is still fresh and lifted. 94 points.
