Characterful chardonnay if ever there was one. Lots of flint, funk, smoky oak, graphite, pineapple, grilled peach and possibly even game, in among the firecracker notes. It’s dry, tense and immeasurably complex; it’s hard to know which way this wine will fall. 91 points.
