This is a treat. It’s dry, textural, stony and delicious. It tastes of nashi pears, rocks, green apples, fennel and tonic water, which is a lovely combination, and it comes complete with a chalky, pebbly aspect, all of which is delivered with a pinch of velvet to its mouthfeel. In other words, it’s good from every angle. It has the dining table written all over it – with all the trimmings. 94 points.
