Singlefile Small Batch Bush Vine Grenache 2025
Singlefile Small Batch Bush Vine Grenache 2025
$79, 14.4% alcohol, DIAM cork, Frankland River/Great Southern.
This is a meaty expression of grenache and one that is – so to speak – high in vitamins and minerals. It tastes of charred cherries, graphite, peppercorns, red currant and mint, and comes with a keen mineral-like accent, the latter almost into ferrous/rust territory. Tannin is firm and the fruit is full, though it’s not dense or cumbersome. Cedarwood oak is noticeable though a) it will settle and b) it’s complemented by orange-rind accents. This wine needs another year or two in the bottle to really start strutting its stuff but its quality is, no doubt, excellent. 94 points.
