This Margaret River syrah offers a good combination of fruit ripeness, savoury inputs and mineral-like inflections. It’s both satisfying and interesting. Red and black cherry flavours come infused with twiggy herb notes, rust, sweet spice and floral characters. Tannin builds appreciably as the wine breathes, in a positive way. This is a medium-bodied wine with a bit of extra insistence. It works. 92 points.
