This is such an elaborate wine. Elaborate, that is, in its flavour profile. It tastes of grapefruit pulp and smoked coconut, pineapple core and strawberry, chalk. It features a dry, stony, tannic finish, where brine and umami notes combine. I wouldn’t necessarily call this classic but I would call it flamboyant, in a good way. It has a seriousness, courtesy of the intensity of flavour, but essentially it’s a whole lot go fun. 93 points.
