Greenbanks won World's Best Single Cask Single Rye at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards – a genuine world title, in a rye field that includes the United States and Canada, for a distillery most Australians have never heard of. It notched this achievement at quite remarkable speed: Greenbanks only began distilling in late 2023, which makes a global World's Best title little more than two years later one of the fastest ascents Australian whisky has ever produced.
