Yalumba Y Series Tempranillo 2022

Mattinson review of Yalumba Y Series Tempranillo 2022.

Yalumba Y Series Tempranillo 2022
$15, 14.0% alcohol, screwcap, South Australia.

I’m not going to rave about this wine but, given that it can be purchased for $15, I am going to say that this tastes red/black berried and generally fruit-driven, and doesn’t have any rough edges, and carries an understated spiciness, and finishes with pretty good persistence. In other words it’s pretty reliable and pretty good. It’s medium in weight, low in oak, and for sheer fruit quality it would beat most in the same price vicinity.
