Oakridge Over the Shoulder Pinot Noir 2025
Oakridge Over the Shoulder Pinot Noir 2025
$20, 13% alcohol, screwcap, Yarra Valley.
There’s good complexity here and good varietal character. It’s better than most pinot noirs at this price level – which, admittedly, isn’t saying a lot. It tastes of both fresh cherries and stewed cherries, sweet spices, peppercorns, smoked meat and cedar. Length through the finish is not its strongest point, and the tannin is quite drying. But in general this works well, and is good value.
