Mount Langi Ghiran Pepper Series Shiraz 2023

Mattinson review of the great value Mount Langi Ghiran Pepper Series Shiraz 2023.

Mount Langi Ghiran Pepper Series Shiraz 2023
$16, 13.5% alcohol, screwcap, Grampians region.

I liked the 2022 release and reviewed it here. This 2023 release is as good or better, which is probably all you need to know. It’s peppery, which is a good start, and feels both grippy and velvety, and pushes red cherry and smoked meat flavours confidently through the palate. I gave the 2022 release 88/100. This 2023 release is a clear 90/100. If you see this at an Aldi store or wherever else it’s sold, grab it. It finishes with a dry, smoky twang but that indeed is part of its appeal.

Reccomended?: Yes.
Paid: $16.
