Allegiance Wines The Artisan McLaren Vale Reserve Shiraz 2022

Mattinson review of The Artisan Reserve mclaren Shiraz 2021

Allegiance Wines The Artisan McLaren Vale Reserve Shiraz 2022
$65, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

The fruit has a strength to it and the tannin is fine-grained. Chocolate, toast and cedar notes thread their way through plum and black cherry, with a certain burnt, smoky, bushfire note rising as the wine breathes. The sweet fruit is the thing, the lift from mint notes as well. It drinks well, all round. 92 points.
