Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Mattinson review of Allegiance-Wines-The-Artisan-Reserve-Coonawarra-Cabernet-Sauvignon-2023

Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
$65, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, Coonawarra.

This is a big wine, particularly in Coonawarra cabernet terms, and it’s also a beautiful one. It’s alive with blackcurrant, chocolate, red licorice and mint flavour, while toasty-chocolatey-creamy oak helps tie to it all together, and to present it in immaculate form. The smell, the favour and the feel of this wine all feel generous and satisfying. There’s a lot of wine here. And all of its flavours are delicious. 94 points.
