Allegiance Wines The Artisan Barossa Reserve Shiraz 2021

Mattinson review of The Artisan Reserve Barossa Shiraz 2021

Allegiance Wines The Artisan Barossa Reserve Shiraz 2021
$65, 15.0% alcohol, screwcap, Barossa Valley.

This is a plump red wine with luscious, dark-berried fruit flavours rolling seductively throughout. This is a red wine to settle down with, and sink into. It tastes of plums, coffee beans, orange and roasted meats, with malty, toasty oak characters lingering through the aftertaste. Nothing satisfies quite so much as a full-bodied, smooth-skinned Barossa shiraz, and this is a good example. 93 points.
