Moppity Atrius Murrumbateman Riesling 2023

Campbell Mattinson review of Moppity Atrius Murrumbateman Riesling 2023

Moppity Atrius Murrumbateman Riesling 2023
$35, 12.5% alcohol, screwcap, Canberra/Murrumbateman.

This is a pretty remarkable riesling. It has excellent intensity of flavour, and persistence through the finish, but it also has a point of difference, in that it feels and tastes different to most other Australian riesling offerings. It’s the strike of grapefruit flavour that does it, which combines with gravel and citrus characters to really create an impression, and to give the wine a presence. Wow. We have a wine on our hands here. It offers a body of flavour, and it presents it in its own particular style. 94 points.
