Allegiance Wines McLaren Vale Unity Shiraz 2023

Review of allegiance wines mclaren vale unity shiraz 2023

Allegiance Wines McLaren Vale Unity Shiraz 2023
$120, 14.5% alcohol, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

There’s intense fruit flavour on display here and while there’s oak, too, the latter has been applied in appropriate, balanced measure. This wine tastes of blackberries and plums with saltbush, salted meats, peppercorns and aromatic herbs, the latter in the highlights. It’s a beefy wine but it’s also svelte. There’s tannin here but it’s pretty much melted into the fruit. In other words it’s a solid shiraz, done well. 92 points.
