Monterra Single Vineyard Grenache 2023
$35, 14.5%, screwcap, McLaren Vale.

Grenache from the famed Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale. This is light on its feet – in a good way – with warm raspberry, almond paste, milk chocolate and aromatic herbs notes doing all the running. It has a curl of dry, herb-flecked tannin through the finish and good persistence. There’s a touch of alcohol warmth to this wine but it’s otherwise a delightful drink in a light, elegant style. 90 points.
