Briar Ridge Limited Release BDX 2023

Mattinson review of Briar Ridge BDX 2023.

Briar Ridge Limited Release BDX 2023
$40, 13.5% alcohol, DIAM cork, Wrattonbully.

This wine is driven by choc-mint, boysenberry, plum and red cherry flavours. It’s not dense or especially deep, but it’s both well powered and controlled, and it persists well through the finish too. It’s a structural wine, built to improve as it matures. The combination of herb, fruit and tobacco-like notes here will work beautifully once they’ve had more time to evolve. 92+ points.
